About the Council
Our History
The Adh Atoll Council was established under the Decentralisation Act of the Maldives, serving as the primary governing body for South Ari Atoll. With a mandate to oversee local development, public services, and community welfare, the council represents the interests of over 5,000 residents across 10 inhabited islands.

The council is responsible for local governance, development planning, budget management, provision of public services, and ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources within Adh Atoll.

A popular diving destination renowned for hammerhead shark sightings at Rasdhoo Atoll.
ކުނބުރުދޫ
A small island with a magistrate court, relying on Mahibadhoo for most government services.
